ABOUT BEN CHARLES MUSIC
Trained at the Royal Academy of Music, Ben is a London-based Composer with a passion for film. He started off his journey writing pop music, as well as recording, producing and mixing post-production. He released an EP in 2020, soon after taking his interests into Film Composition. Ben has trained on Logic Pro X and Sibelius for 10+ Years, and using these skills, writes from full scale orchestral-cinematic and choral scores, to indie-rock and synth based music. Ben continues to produce and write for independent pop artists today.
Through time at The Royal Academy of Music, Ben trained as an Opera Singer alongside Composition, giving him a deep understanding of vocal technique and writing. Through this training, Ben has performed for Royalty at private events, and taken roles as an onscreen singer for Netflix. Ben has received feedback from the likes of Tom Player, Sacha Skarbek, and tutelage from Timothy Williams.
He has developed his skills through work with aspiring Film Directors, writing music for Documentaries and short films.
As a Composer, I strive to elevate the storytelling through my compositions, working closely with directors and producers to understand their artistic vision and bring it to life through music. My commitment to excellence, attention to detail, and ability to work across various genres make me a versatile and reliable partner in the creative process.
